Lego Workshop

Lego Workshop

All classes attended a Lego workshop as part of Engineers week. Here is an account of one child's experience.

A Lego Workshop

We had a Lego workshop in our school. A lady called Kate gave us the workshop. She had lots of big boxes of Lego and loads of different pieces. They were sorted out into different colours. We all got the opportunity to create a castle and we could make different gardens and things for the castle.
We were all given a base plate to build on.It had 100 studs.
We could pick out our own people and decide on our weapons and things. We even had parachutes! There were some animals too.
Most people used the over lapping technique to build theirs and that means if you drop your Lego from a height it wont break!
At the end we examined each others structures and played a game. We really enjoyed the workshop and would love to do it again, for longer maybe!
Building and designing was great fun especially making sure it didn't break.

Here are some pictures from the Lego workshop.
