Exploring Magnets in Senior Infants

Senior Infants learned all about Magnets and had great great fun exploring them and the force that they have. They tested various objects around the classroom and worked together to come up with different ways we can use magnets in the classroom.

Exploring Magnets in Senior Infants

You will need:

·         2 Magnets

·         A brown coin

·         A piece of paper

Method:

·         See what the magnets stick to and what the magnets do not stick to.

Result:

·         Magnets like metal. Magnets do not like paper.

·         A magnet has a North Pole and South Pole.

·         They only stick to brown coins.

·         The North Pole only sticks to the South Pole.
